FAQ
GTS is not associated with any rugby club. While we may use certain clubs or grounds more frequently, this is purely for ease of access, availability, and location convenience. GTS operates independently and is open to players from all clubs and schools.
Club and school environments have limited training time and large squads, which means coaches need to prioritise team systems and game preparation. That often leaves less time for the finer technical details.
GTS focuses on the fundamentals and the “nitty gritty” — the small, repeatable details that build confidence and consistency. We also cover areas that don’t usually fit into regular team trainings due to time constraints. That added detail and repetition is what helps give players an edge.
There’s no pressure to commit — but we all understand that the more reps you get, the more your confidence, skill, and dominance improve.
Classes run similar to a boxing or fitness gym. We focus on the fundamentals and build them week in, week out, with consistent, high-quality reps. Sessions are adjusted and scaled to suit each player’s level and needs.
Players can drop in anytime and train as often as it suits them.
There are no guarantees — development always comes down to the individual. What we provide is a strong starting point with quality detail, coaching, and reps. Collision is a skillset, and like any skill, it takes time to build.
Every player develops at a different pace. Some naturally enjoy and take to contact, while for others it takes longer or may never become a major strength. What matters is understanding that collision can be learned, improved, and built through consistent reps and the right guidance.
